Are you lonesome tonight?

In the words of the late and great Elvis Presley 'are you lonesome tonight?'  

There are many challenges being in business as a start up or a sole trader, some of which you were ready for, and some of them you hadn't seen coming. One of these you hadn't bargained for is probably loneliness, and I bet that was a surprise. Before you took the plunge you were probably part of a team, had a boss to answer to (one or more), and were surrounded by experts that you could call on such as the IT department, the HR department, the marketing department and so on. Now it is just you.

You went into business because you are passionate about what you do and had not envisaged having to juggling many hats, and feel as if you are drowning sometimes, or you simply struggle to do it all yourself as you are growing. Am I right? However, you can't take staff on as your business isn't sustainable enough yet, you are not ready to be an employer, and you can't afford the expertise you need. If you don't soon get some help you will never grow and get to the next step, or worse, you will burn out. Vicious circle feeling?

You may be able to do the same for them depending on your business offering, in the very least you can support them with an empathetic listening ear.
